I never cease to be awed by the beauty that occurs in nature 🙂

“There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in it’s roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more.”  Lord Byron

    • Without nature we’re nothing! I hope you witness a hummingbird(s) someday…they are fascinating creatures. I just bought this incredible book about the life and works of Dickens (Forster). All these years I’ve been reading his works but nothing really about him…as I was reading The Uncommercial Traveller I was struck by all the walking he was doing…the long distances…apparently he actually did walk often and far. Just days before he died he walked 4 miles to post a letter. I’ve decided, that before I die, I must reread all the books of his I”ve read, plus all the ones I haven’t. 🙂

      • He got quite a few of his ideas for The Uncommercial Traveller by wandering around at night when he couldn’t sleep which I wouldn’t chance these days but it is great to have a walk. I only ever saw about five people walking when I was in the US, I tried to walk a few miles every couple of days just because I wasn’t used to not walking. I am glad you are going to go through all Dickens’ books, I will join you in that challenge.
