I’ve been taking photos of her since she was born and adopted (almost 7 years) so she doesn’t mind having me snap.snap.snapping in her face. Sometimes I take 50 (or more) shots before I get that one that’s Yaya perfect…this was that one 🙂
Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy, John, Captain Hook
(most of) my family and me
my grandson and his girlfriend
my oldest grandson, who is living back with his Dad and Mom2

viva la familia
have a pleasurable President’s Day,
can you hear the waves breaking
Hearts and flowers were the theme of the day on Tumblr yesterday, on my blog as well as thousands of others. Even though I was sad (5 Valentine’s Days since Don died) I did my best to enter in to the spirit of the occasion…
I went to the beach!
Love of the sand and the surf was something Don and I shared, so I went to the beach and looked for a little sandy, surfy love!
hearts at the beach
perfect sandy hearts
a couple obviously in love
a couple so very obviously in LOVE…
and remembered, happily, when it was Don and I…
enjoy your Saturday,
when I think of you Mr. Waite I think “The Waltons“
Set as it was in the mountains of rural Virginia, it and you epitomized the words family and home…growing up as I did in rural Virginia The Waltons really struck a nerve with me!
I thank you for the memories and for sharing your abilities as an actor and director.
Ralph Waite 1928 – 2014 RIP

some days we may feel that love has left us
lots of love
other days, hopefully, we will realize we are surrounded by love
“Love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much
performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is done well.”
Vincent van Gogh
wishing you Wednesday wisdom 🙂
healing thoughts today for Tom Brokaw
Shirley Temple Black
23 April 1928 – 10 February 2014
The first of her films I ever remember seeing was “On The Good Ship Lollipop,” of course by the time I was born she was a teenager and not making many films, but I certainly enjoyed her old ones!
RIP Shirley Temple and thank you for the memories!

perhaps you will find a heart in a tree
a tree bark heart
a cloud in the sky
heart in a cloud
painted on a building
heart on a building
on a children’s toy box
heart on a toy box
on a parking barrier
heart on a parking barrier
so many hearts to find, so many hearts to see
I found my heart here
my forever friend Don
when I didn’t even know I was looking 🙂
