weekend spent

creating this…

I read a piece the other day that stated that people don’t want to hear more words or see more photos about the environment…what they want to see is more ACTION…I agree!!!

It all starts with each one of us…I know I’m not doing nearly enough to reduce, recycle, reuse…I’m trying though…I think now before I throw something away, or even put it in the recycle bin.  Another article I read talked about a husband and wife team…they have managed to reduce their throw-away waste to 1, yes that’s ONE bag per MONTH!!!  I’m working on that…if they can do it there’s no reason I can’t…

all I have to do is

think of it this way

does one vote count?  of course it does

does one person picking up trash, garbage, refuse count?  of course it does

thanks for “listening”

  1. I agree wholeheartedly. Recycle is an action verb. While there are many who think it is easy, there are barriers as I am finding out. Sometimes people need to go miles to recycle a particular type of material. Time and gas required. It is so easy to throw away. I think it comes down to reducing consumption and as you said. – stop and think!!

    • when I was researching recycling collection points in the county where I live I discovered just as you stated that sometimes the item might have to be carried several miles to another point of collection…I just try to do the best I’m able for me and I try to encourage other sto at least think about it and maybe give it a try…I feel someday soon it will be mandatory…certainly in large metropolitan areas
